Fulldive VR is now LightPlay
First and foremost, thank you. Your support as a Fulldive user has meant the world to us. As we look to the future, the Fulldive team is transitioning our older VR videos to LightPlay, a fresh rebrand focused on curated video content for mobile.
Keeping VR working well on iPhone has become a challenge, so we're pausing VR in the Fulldive app for now. We want to do VR right, so we'll bring VR features back when we have the resources to support them properly. In the meantime, thank you for joining us here at LightPlay!

VR on iPhone is hard to support well for a few reasons:
- No official phone VR support: Apple has never offered tools for phone-in-headset VR, so everything has to be built and maintained in-house.
- Apple's VR focus has moved: Apple's own immersive video work now centers on Apple Vision Pro, not on watching VR through an iPhone in a headset.
- Frequent iOS changes: Yearly iOS updates change how apps use the motion sensors, the screen and background playback, so core VR code needs regular rework.
- Strict motion-sickness standards: VR needs instant, low-latency sensor data to keep people from feeling sick. Keeping playback that smooth across iPhone models takes ongoing tuning we can't give it right now.
